Ghostlight FAQ Part 1

Thu, 15th Sep 2011 | Posted by Ross

Hi again.

I hope Nick and Daren looked after you last week.  I’ve not been around the office much this last couple of weeks, but since I’ve been back we’ve managed to get together the answers to a lot of the questions that you’ve all been asking us for a while. So, I thought I’d do my best to give you the latest news on all of them.

We’ve got a lot to cover so this post will probably end up being split into two parts with the first covering our latest games and the second covering our future plans and some changes we are considering to the way we handle things.

So onto the questions …

First up lots of you have been asking about the DLC for Agarest: Generations of War Zero.  All the DLC was originally intended to be available in time for the game’s release but unfortunately it has been delayed due to a non-trivial technical issue with the chargeable DLC.  We are currently doing everything we can to resolve the problem and I can tell you that the Free DLC will definitely be coming very soon with the chargeable DLC hopefully following closely behind.

Secondly we have some news for all our Australian fans out there.  As Daren mentioned in the comments of the last blog, Persona 3 Portable will be released on PSN in Australia soon with more of our PSP products to follow.  While we do not currently have a distributor in Australia all our boxed products are available for purchase directly from the Ghostlight Store.

There’s been a lot of interest in Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky both of which I’m happy to confirm will be released in Q4 this year.  Release and pre-order dates will be announced shortly.  Both games will also be coming to PSN and we will also be announcing their PSN release dates shortly too.

We’ve also been asked for more details about the Collector’s Editions for both of these games.  Both Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky official soundtracks will come in a slim jewel case with a very stylish inlay.  The Persona 2: Innocent Sin soundtrack will feature the same 10 tracks as the release from the wonderful people over at Atlus.   On the TitS side of things, the mighty A1 poster included in the Trails in the Sky Collector’s Edition will be of the original Japanese box art and will be rolled up and sent in sturdy cardboard packaging.

As GMM mentioned in the comments of an earlier blog we are aware that releasing both of these games so close together may strain a few wallets, as such we are looking into the possibility of creating an attractively priced Super Combo Pack containing both Collector’s Editions.  There are still quite a few hoops we have to jump through so we can’t promise anything just yet, but keep your eyes peeled for more news on this in the next week or so.

That’s all for now everyone.  I realise it’s been quite heavy going as we’ve had a lot to get through, but we really appreciate all of your continued feedback and support.  In the next blog we’ll be uncovering some of the potential changes (for the better) to the ways that we provide you with products, as well as answering any more questions that you can think of.  So until then…

"In the next blog we'll be uncovering some of the potential changes (for the better) to the ways that we provide you with products" Very curious to read that! And very interested by a combo for ps2 and tits ;)
Mark says:

Thank you for all those info. :)
AXR says:

Cool, thanks for update on P2. Will buy PSN version for Vita =) Any news about price? Any P3P style discounts for PS+? ;-)
Foxfyre says:

Ooh, I am super excited for both games, thank you! Oh and I think I almost broke Tumblr the other day when discussing the P2 collectors edition. I haven't seen so many angry and jealous US gamers before..;; *hides*
[GL] Ross says:

@AXR Thanks no news on that but I should get some more information about that soon. @Foxfyre It's always fun making the US jealous of us :)
Ailtin says:

Really looking forward to Persona 2. I have the US Version of TiTS already, since I really am fond of XSEED (They are like the Ghostlight of America xDDD). As for the OST of Persona 2: Will theses 10 Tracks then be the Remastered Songs or will they contain Soundtrack from the Original Persona 2: Tsumi ?
Robert says:

@Foxfyre You should check out the Xenoblade message board on GameFAQs if you want to see jealous USA gamers.
Lozzy says:

Wow, if you can make a Super Combo Pack for both games we would be very grateful. If not, Persona 2 is at the top of the list for me :)
EnigmaticHat says:

The TitS will be great.
Garron says:

Do you have any more knowledge about the other products to appear on the Australian PSN? I imagine P2:IS, TITS would be a good chance, but what about the older Ghostlight PSN releases?
Amy says:

I won't be getting Trails in the Sky, but my purse is still gonna feel the strain of Persona 2... but it's worth it! Ghostlight I already said this, but you're one of my all time favourite game distributers and you're totally awesome! I'm going to London soon and with Catherine coming out soon aswell my purse is starting to cry (aswell as me) but as I said, it'll be worth it in the end! :D
Henry Bellis says:

Will the box be the size of the psp remake of persona 1 or like p3p? I'm just supprised you can fit that large cd in without uing a mini disk like tatics orgre. Also will there be a way to purchase t-shirts seperatly so I can obsevive compusivly where one and keep another mint?
[GL] Ross says:

@Ailtin More details of the soundtrack can be found at http://www.siliconera.com/2011/07/28/pre-order-persona-2-innocent-sin-for-a-mini-soundtrack-cd/ @Garron I'll look into it for part two @Henry Bellis I'm not entirely sure but I believe it will be similar to P3P. As for your second question I was already planning on saying something about that in part 2 which is due this Thursday.
[GL] Ross says:

@Henry Bellis I've just had a little update on the Persona 2 Box and we have actually designed a new "closed box" to fit all the goodies in.
TH says:

Is possible to obtain rights from Capcom to release their games over here such Gyakuten Kenji(Ace Attorney Investigations)2?
[GL] Ross says:

@TH I'll mention it to my boss. I'm not sure if I'll be able to give a public answer though.
hooray says:

Getting both limited editions for a nice price sounds really good, I hope there also will be the option to pay with paypal, would make it easier to pay for a lot of people I guess.
[GL] Ross says:

@Hooray I might have a bit of news for you on that in part 2 :)
ObviusFault says:

Hmm will the dlc for agarest zero be more dungeons like the first one? and will we have to pay for anythings besides OP powerhouse bonus packs?
[GL] Ross says:

@ObviusFault There are indeed some dungeons available as DLC. As for price structure I'm sure we're going to do an announcement soon.
lonelywolf23786 says:

Last time i preordered P3P, you tok the funds straight away without informing us, so i am wondering if you still take the funds straight away or only when you dispatch the product cos i was nearly broke without checking my balance and have to cancel it.
[GL] Ross says:

@lonelywolf23786 Funds will be taken straight away again I'm afraid as that is the way our payment processor works. In this weeks blogpost there will be news about an alternate payment method we're looking at.
Vheart says:

Is the collector's edition of Persona 2 available in retail stores and/or online distributors?
[GL] Ross says:

@Vheart It will be yes although you won't get the T-Shirt unless you order with us.
Aerodynamisch says:

Fantastic announcement as usual! Really psyched to picking up both Collector's Editions. While I already own XSeed' version of TiTS, I really like to collect Falcom games this year so this will have to go in my collection for sure. Definitely gotta review the game on my YouTube channel sometime the game get released.
Eru says:

Tut tut...I go away for two weeks and when I come back...this happens! Why must you spoil us so?! (Love it really!) I'm so psyched for the P2 CE (makes me lament how awesome P1's CE may have been in your capable hands...) and I'm very interested to know more about the special P2/TitS offer - if we were to go for that, would I still be able to get the Ghostlight Exclusives? Were the other few releases ever revealed?
[GL] Ross says:

@Aerodynamisch Thanks. @Eru :) If it does happen I'd imagine you would be able to. No more news on more releases yet but we're looking at a few games.
Eru says:

Ah cool - I wasn't sure if I was forgetting anything else I should be looking forward to ;)
ObviusFault says:

Um i think there is an error in the psn store.... if you go to game add-onns there is a folder saying agarest zero dlc but what is in there is from arcana heart 3 i hope you know that :P
Sai says:

Great! Really lookign forward to the two of these, especially P2~ I've been hearing all about it from my US friends, and it's looking like it'll be great!
[GL] Ross says:

@ObviusFault Thanks for letting us know. I'll pass it on. @Sai Persona 2 is really good :) I'm sure you'll have a great time with both games :)
Ailtin says:

Concerning for hoorays Post, do you really mean to maybe put in Paypal option for buying here ? Oh God, that would be incredibly glorious !!!
[GL] Ross says:

@Ailtin Maybe :) Assuming it gets through approval there is something in todays blog about it.
vheart says:

Would you ship to Australia if I order the collector's edition directly from your site? I just want the sexy P2 collection.
[GL] Ross says:

@Vheart Yes we do ship directly to Australia :) So feel free to order from us.
piesel says:

There will be a standard physical edition of Persona 2? I mean a non-Collector's Edition, but boxed.
[GL] Ross says:

@piesel No we're only doing the Collector's Edition as a physical release.
piesel says:

Any plans on releasing the first Persona in Europe (physical edition, not download)? The US edition is almost impossible to get today.......
[GL] Ross says:

@Piesel As the game has already been released on PSN we'd be unlikely to do a physical release I'm afraid.
