So the results are in

Tue, 17th May 2011 | Posted by Ross

Thanks everyone for the overwhelming response to our poll about Agarest Generations Of War ZERO.  Life has been fairly manic in the Ghostlight offices and I’ve had lots of excellent new games in to evaluate (it’s a hard life :) ) but we have managed to find the time to keep an eye on the results  It has been very, very close but I can now reveal that the results are as follows:

41% of you preferred the 6 traditional art cards

and

59% of you preferred the 3 3D Lenticular art cards

It’s always great to get your thoughts both on our games and what goodies you would like to see in our collector’s editions so we’d just like to take the opportunity once again to thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us - it’s genuinely appreciated.  We’ve certainly taken note of your many requests for an art book, but sadly this time around we won’t be able to provide one. We reviewed all the available resources for the game and unfortunately we just didn’t feel there was enough new and unique art to warrant creating a new book.  However, we’ll definitely remember your responses to this poll when we are thinking up our next collector’s edition and we’ll make sure that an art book is high up on the list :).

Ah, such a shame. Was highly in Favor of 6 classic cards, but it is what it is :D Though I am innerly weeping for never having a card of Lucy (If thats rightfully translated :S) Poster and T-Shirt are fine by me too, so I wont miss the Artbook that hardly. Looking forward for the Pre-Order of it :D
Barry Walsh says:

Thank you for being so open and honest with us. So many companies would say nothing and just release it and thats your lot. I have ALWAYS had a reply to questions from Ghostlight and its brilliant that you keep us up to speed on all your projects,Can't wait to play this game.
Eyes says:

Great, i'm happy that the 3d lenticular win.^^

Not having an art book is fine by me especially as there isn't much original art work, the Ar tonelico Qoga limited I imported had about 2 pages of not-in game art work... kinda week but it was crammed full of info about the games universe.... and no art book saves me money right? Anyway whats on offer looks stellar ( especially the t-shirt ) so I cannot wait for this, thanks Ghostlight.

Thanks for comments guys glad you like the Collector's Edition. I'm going to be doing some more blogs on Agarest Zero soonish so if there is anything you want me to cover feel free to let me know and I'll see what I can do. No promises though. @Barry Walsh No problem. We're always happy to hear from everyone and it really is no trouble to answer people's questions.
Ailtin says:

@Ross: It is rare to see that much feedback and support for consumers like the way you do. As mentioned in other post other Companies release the game or an CE by saying:"Buy it, no matter if you like it or not." Giving us some space in deciding some contents for editions like these, make them somehow unique for everyone. Is there any specific date for preordering this Collectors Edition ? It's a little bit hard to wait for it ! :S And a little question besides: Do you ship to Germany ? And if yes, am I able to pay with PayPal ? Thanks in advance !
Seto Kaiba of YTAS says:

I`m happy to hear that the 3D cards won and I`m especially happy that you were honest with us about the art-book. Thank you very much. As for stuff to cover. Will you have a ghostlight website like you did with the first game and if so when? Also do we need to play the game on the highest difficulty to get everything the game has to offer?
Dora says:

Whats this card system? How has the combat changed from the first game. YAY for the 3D cards....so how is it 3D? Thanks for being straight with us about the arbook, its a shame but I no we appreciate your honesty.
[GL] Ross says:

@Ailtin We do plan to ship to Germany. This may change if we sign a distribution deal for Germany but we have previously fufilled any outstanding orders in these circumstances. As for paying with Pay-pal we prefer people to use the Worldpay system on our website however if you are unable to do this contact us through the website and we will try to sort something out. @Seto Kaiba of YTAS I believe we are currently working on an Agarest website. I'll make a post on the blog when it goes live. @Dora Thanks for the suggestions. A better description of how the cards work than I am able to give can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenticular_printing the 3d depth effect image at http://www.3dlenticular.biz/ is a good example

A body pillow is a worthy collectors item for agarest xD althou its wut i think lol.. ya can hang it up as a decoration or if your lonely ..using it as a body pillow :P(many ways to use it rofl) Looking forward on the pre-order!!
Dora says:

Cool, though I have to be honest and say I would have prefered to see either Alice or Shernini in the 3D cards. Can`t wait for Ghostlight Website then. So how are the cards like exactly? id there a background for the 3D depth effect?
[GL] Ross says:

@Dora I haven't actually seen the cards yet myself so I can't really give you any more details.
Ailtin says:

To add a question to that as well. Are the 3 3D Pictures final ? In terms of character, I mean ?
[GL] Ross says:

We have decided on the 3d pictures and we will reveal them in the next few days.
Dora says:

Crosses fingers for Shernini and/or Alice
Chiu says:

I agree as well! If we only get 3 characters for the 3D cards I prefer they`d all be female. I 2nd Dora on Shernini and Alice as for the 3rd I`d pick Mimel which according to the picture last time you already have planned for. Regardless what happens I hope all 3 end up female. If the soul-breed system returns does that mean that the story of Zero is the same as the first game?
[GL] Ross says:

@Chiu The story takes place before the first game and the events of Agarest Zero set the stage for the first game.
