OMG Zombies! is released today

Thu, 13th Feb 2014 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone.  I hope you’re all keeping an eye on Steam today as OMG Zombies! – Laughing Jackal’s fantastically addictive puzzle shooter – will be making its Steam debut very shortly.

Upon release at roughly 6pm GMT today you’ll be able to buy OMG Zombies! from the Steam Store here for the bargain price of $4.99 ($3.99 for the first week). Until then, why not hang out with other fans of OMG Zombies! on the game’s Steam forum which you can find here.

We’re delighted to be able to release Laughing Jackal’s first PC game (not counting their port of Agarest!) on Steam.

OMG Zombies! is based on OMG HD Zombies! (Vita), a massively enhanced remake of the critically acclaimed OMG-Z (PSP), which currently sits in the top 10 PSP games of all time on Metacritic.

For those of you who never experienced the simple joys of zombie-popping first time around, the zombie virus in OMG Zombies! is the result of a virulent fungus that causes its zombified victims to EXPLODE when attacked. That’s pretty cool in itself, but if any infected matter lands on another zombie then they’ll explode too, causing a chain-reaction tsunami of gore!  Wise to this, as a highly trained Riot Cop, you’re able to use your wits to take down hordes of the undead with a single well-placed rifle round.

And since I haven’t mentioned this before for those of you who collect them OMG Zombies! will feature Steam Trading Cards.

Before I go I’d just like to give a massive thank you to all the beta testers who’ve been so helpful in searching out problems and making this PC release as good as it can be.   Thanks everyone! :)

Speaking of beta testing and the Laughing Jackal team, they’re currently hard at work preparing an Agarest Zero build, and we’re expecting to enter beta soon, at which point we’ll select and notify the chosen beta testers.

I’ll be back next week, but until then why not follow us on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our  Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight? You can also follow me on Twitter for a more personal take on all things Ghostlight.
