Maken Shao: Demon Sword gets a PSN release date

Fellow Atlus fans rejoice! I’ve just been told that the fantastic Maken Shao: Demon Sword will be released by Midas Interactive Entertainment as a PS2 Classic on the PSN Store on the 27th February.  Unfortunately, whilst the emulation runs the game really well, it’s not perfect as the game does experience some texture warping.  We’re hopeful that there will be an update to the emulator in the future, but despite this, the game is a must for all you Atlus fans out there and at just £3.99/€4.99, it’s a bargain.

On a related topic - and before you ask – the situation with the Digital Devil Saga games remains unchanged.  We’re still waiting for an update to the PS2 emulator which will allow us to release them.

Talking of PSN, while I mentioned it in the comments last week I just thought I’d remind you all that both of our two fantastic Idea Factory PSP games, Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos and Spectral Souls: Resurrection of Ethereal Empires have had their prices cut on PSN this week, to just £8.89/€10.99!  :)

Those aren’t the only bargains from Ghostlight, as the amazing Valentine’s Day Sale is still running.  Check out our previous blogpost here for more details of what’s on sale, or you can go directly to the sale page here to get your hands on these fantastic bargains.  But you’ll have to hurry as not only does the sale end on the 20th February, but we have an extremely limited amount of stock left for some of the items in the sale.

This week I’ve spent a lot of my time evaluating a horde of new titles, all of which came from your suggestions in our competition.  I must say you guys picked out some pretty good games. :)  There are still more evaluations to come through and tomorrow our resident Japanese speaker, Tom, will be coming in to take a look at the games that are yet to receive an English translation.

That’s not all that’s been going on here at Ghostlight either, as work is continuing on the digital Collector’s Editions of Agarest: Generations of War Zero and Agarest: Generations of War 2 along with their sound tracks which will be available on PSN soon.  I’m expecting to be able to confirm details for you in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned for that.

That’s all for now.  I’ll be back next week, but until then you can follow Ghostlight on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our  Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight.  You can also follow me on Twitter for a more personal take on all things Ghostlight.

Maken is not in the psn , it's normal ? ???

I ended up buying just SMT: Nocturne as buying two games doubles(!) the shipping cost.

I would have ordered the SMT: Digital Devil Saga games in a heart beat, but the first game got a terrible PAL conversion with no 60Hz option. Given that the save data is linked I can't import one of either.

I finally FINALLY got my Platimum trophies for Agarest Zero and 2.

Agarest 2 isn't particulary hard to Platinum however Agarest Zero and its invisible Monster and Battle count will drive you CRAZY!!!

Either way I can rest easy, granted I have to tackly AGarest 2s 2nd Bounday Plane and then I can say I beat everything it has to offer but otherwise I GOT MY PLATINUM TROPHIES!!!!!

Someone throw me a parade!

Anyhow, Maken at that price...I'll probably pick it up!

Ross, I was wondering does a game like Fate/Stay Night Realta Nua for the Vita have a shot of being released by Ghostlight?

Its a port of the original Fate/Stay Night VN, the 3 seperate intros which cover the Fate, UBW and Heavens Feel routes animated by UFOTABLE(Same guys that animated Fate/Zero anime) are just beautiful.

In any case yeah Fate/Extra CCC and Agarest Mariage are the only titles I hope to be released but as far as new new stuff goes, Demon Gaze for the Vita seems somewhat interesting.

So Maken Shao is finally upon us. At that price, it really is a bargain and I'll pick it up. I'm just surprised Midas hasn't posted this on their website yet.

Both Etrian Odyssey IV and Code of Princess were announced for European releases on Nintendo Direct today, but there was no mention of the publisher. Etrian Odyssey might be Nintendo themselves (the first one was), but I doubt highly that Code of Princess will be. Could this have anything to do with you?

So... Are the Agarest soundtracks full soundtracks? I don't mind it if t doesn't have the Vocal Tracks (I know it's harder to license those)

If yes... Will I be able to buy them separately? I really liked Agarest 2 soundtrack, but I don't really want to buy the game again just for that

That's great, but how about some news about Devil Survivor Overclocked release date? Please?

@Chachazero90 Congrats on the platinums!

I have to add that Demon Gaze is brilliant! I definitely recommend it. :)

@MarcosKaral The soundtracks are the same as the ones that came with the physical collector's edition.  I believe you will be able to buy them separately but I'll have to double check that.

@RatedKh I've been told that we're expecting to have one for you all soon.  As soon as I know it I'll let you all know.

@ChibuzoNwobiri @kunino_sagiri Ha, so they are. I guess since it's just going to be on eShop, with no physical release, they can do that. And until further notice, I shall assume that Nintendo themselves are doing Etrian Odyssey IV. It seems reasonably likely, anyway.

@Ross Brierley @RatedKh I don't meant to be negative, its not how i like to act... but it would be nice if we got it before the two year anniversary of the North American release. kind of feel like i should just get an NA 3ds at this point.

@gordallott  @RatedKh I know this has been frustrating for everyone.  It's been frustrating for us too but I've been told that it shouldn't be far off now.
