Ghostlight Enters The 3rd Dimension!
Hi everyone. I’ve got some exciting news for you all: after recent discussions with Nintendo I can now tell you that we’re officially licensed Nintendo 3DS publishers :). While at this point you can only speculate over what tasty Japanese gaming treats we’ve got lined up for you, I hope you’re as excited as we are about Ghostlight coming to the current generation of handhelds :).
That’s not to say we’ve forgotten about the other consoles either and we’re still hard at work on Agarest: Generations of War 2, a new build of which showed up earlier this week. I know I’ve spoken briefly about this before, but I really am impressed with how big a step forward this Agarest game is. While it still retains the same sense of humour as its predecessors, the rest of the game has been given a rather radical overhaul most notably in the graphics department. The combat is far slicker too and faster than in the previous two games and many of the systems are more closely integrated into the main game this time around.
I’m also very impressed with the increased flexibility that Agarest 2 offers. Tying progress to commissions has opened the game up somewhat and it’s nice to have a world map you can wander :). Agarest fans are definitely going to love this new version, and even if you’re new to the series, I’m sure you’re going to love it too :).
And of course, Agarest 2 will be available as yet another classic Ghostlight Collector’s Edition and while the contents are still labelled as ‘top secret’ :) I expect to be announcing details shortly.
Also coming soon will be details of how to pre-order the much anticipated Collector’s Edition of the mighty Fate/EXTRA so that you can ensure you receive all your sweet exclusive goodies.
Finally, in a bit of a departure from Japanese gaming and to celebrate the upcoming Olympics, I can reveal that our hugely popular International Athletics game is soon to be re-launched as a free-to-play game on the iPhone with online leaderboards and a host of other improvements.

Oh awesome ^^ So we'll be seeing 3DS releases from you guys too~ Yay~ I don't have a 3DS, but knowing it's you guy's, we'll get some amazing extra's with our collector's editions and such ^^ Looking forward to pre-ordering Fate/Extra. Aww, no information on the PSN Store releases of DDS1 & 2 this time around, hopefully next week ^^

Hey Ross, any words on whether you will release Vita Games too ? There surely are some games that might catch your eye :D

Do we have a release date on Fate/EXTRA, yet? Also if you're going on the 3DS, please try and get SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked! We missed out on it the first time around, let's not miss it again!
Devil Survivor Overclocked? It seems almost certain at this stage, really. There are no other JRPGs that have a US release (since Ghostlight can't afford to translate themselves) but no European release yet. The only other possibility is that they've registered as a 3DS publisher with no actual games planned, an why would they do that? It would just be unnecessary expense. I think you may have revealed too much, Ross. Unless you did it on purpose, of course.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I'm sensing a couple of overwhleming favourites here. @Ailtin We're looking at few games on Vita but no news on that yet. @Gavin No release date yet but it should be coming very soon.
Please bring over the Atlus 3ds games, such as the shin megami tensei games and etrian odyssey etc... Due to the region lock you should have a solid customer base.
Am I the only one excited for Agarest 2 rather than the 3DS? Well I'm hyped to see its CE and thank you for mentioning it, I was almost worried that it was getting a delay, don't know why.

XSeed games have just picked up there first 3DS title aswell UnchainBlades Rexx looks like a interesting 3DS JRPG. :)
A Ghostlight-fashioned collector's edition of SMT DS Overclocked would be so awesome. I don't want to get my hopes up, but i can't help myself.
Everyone else seems to have the right idea, region locking on the 3DS is a hassle and a mean move on Nintendo's half. You've been doing a great job on bringing over the PSP Shin Megami Tenseis, let's hope you can keep it up on the 3DS side!

It's most likely too early to tell for sure, but are you considering putting the games you'll publish on the 3DS eShop? I've decided to buy all my games digitally, so it's a crucial point to me. I'd also like to give another vote in favor of Devil Survivor: Overclocked and Etrian Odyssey IV coming to the PAL region.
Also a good start for a 3DS title is UnchainBlades ReXX! XSeed is bringing that to US....
You know what would be awesome? A devil survivor collectors set where you get Overclocked, Devil Survivor 2 and some ghostlight goodies :)

@Mixobarbaros. I'm pretty certain that Nintendo don't support full-game downloads for retail games on the eShop. And frankly I doubt they ever will. If you want download-only (and god knows why you would), then I think the 3DS was not the best choice of consoles.
@Ben: Unchained Blades mentioned in the comments is a retail game in Japan, yet Xseed will publish it as a digital title in America, so it should be possible technically. I'm not getting my hopes up, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.
I too vote for Devil Survivor Overclocked!! Please bring that over. @Ben - UnchainBlades Rexx is going to be an eShop downloadable!! That's a full retail game.
Zero Escape being localised would honestly save me a lot of grief, i'm considering importing a system just to play it. I'll wait and see what you guys have in store.
