Agarest is Greenlit

Thu, 18th Apr 2013 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone.  We had some truly fantastic news last night as Valve announced that Agarest:  Generations of War has passed through Greenlight and will be released on Steam.  This is incredibly exciting for us all here at Ghostlight and I would like to thank every single one of you who supported us either through voting, advice or telling others about our Greenlight project.  The response to our Greenlight campaign has been amazing.   So thank you, we really couldn’t have done it without you.

So what happens  next?

Whilst Agarest: Generations of War has now been Greenlit, there’s still some way to go until it will be ready for release on Steam.  In the meantime, Laughing Jackal will be continuing their hard work porting the game to PC and while we have had several playable builds in test already, there are still plenty of bugs that need squashing and a few new features that need to be added.   I’m afraid that I don’t have specific release details for you yet but I’m assured that title will be released on PC this year.

Having said all that, I have had a chance to look at some of the builds and the game does seem to be coming along rather well.

In the excitement over this, we haven’t forgotten about those of you waiting for a fix for Devil Survivor Overclocked.  Thanks to the very hard work carried out by Atlus, I’m pleased to say that we received a patch for this title at the beginning of this week.  Testing is going well and so far we have been unable to reproduce any of the reported bugs using the patch, and neither have we seen any new ones.  Should this happy state of affairs continue then we will be submitting the patch to Nintendo as soon as possible in preparation for its distribution on Nintendo’s eShop.

Finally in other news I’m happy to report that the rather splendid Agarest: Generations Of War 2 Avatars made their way onto the PSN Store yesterday and are now available for just £0.40 each.  Unfortunately due to a minor error on PSN, some of the avatars displayed on the store feature background art.  I would like to inform you that if you purchase an avatar, it will feature the character art as intended, but on a white background.  We are currently in communication with Sony to resolve this issue.

That’s all for now.   I’ll be back next week with more news from Ghostlight. Until then you can follow Ghostlight on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our  Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight.  You can also follow me on Twitter for a more personal take on all things Ghostlight.
