Agarest: GoWZ Collector's Edition Art Card Poll

Tue, 10th May 2011 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone,

Many thanks for your comments on our proposed Collector's Edition for Agarest: GoWZ. As you know we listen to all the comments that you send us and wherever possible take action. So as a starting point we are looking at the comments from the various forums. It seems that not everyone is totally happy with the three 3D lenticular cards (similar to the technology that is used on the 3DS) that are on offer. So we are offering you the choice :-)

Would you prefer to have the three 3D cards or have six regular postcards? Please place your vote below and we will round up the results at the end of the week.

3D because its something new compared to the collector of AGOW. Something new is more fun. (sorry for my english)
alistair6969 says:

6 regular post cards of semi-naked of the next gen ladies is a win win ;) hey the 1st game was rated pegi 12+ :)
Dgnfly says:

coulden't you guys just made a poll asking which do you like american Collector's edition or european?
Aerodynamisch says:

I'd say run with the 3D cards. Something unique!
Gao says:

Can we get to vote on a poll the possibility to throw an artbook on it? I'd rather one artbook than 3 fancy cards, or 6 normal cards, but of course if both can stay the better
Ailtin says:

Rather for 6 Cards. Why is not Lucy or dont know how she is translated in one of the 3D ?! Whyyyyy >________
Pepsi_Biofusion says:

I'm going for 6 regular, don't get me wrong the 3D idea is great, but you said 3DS 3D... and I have double vision so its useless for me :P I originally thought you meant the blurry reflective-type 3D as in the cover for Sega's Vanquish... boy do I feel stupid (PS- I know the user-name I'm using is lame but my real names even worse :P )
badtz maru says:

I chosen 3D cards because it's new but to be honest, I would prefer an artbook like the 1st Agarest you guys published. I would still buy this day one. Out of the 2 options, the 3D lenticular cards are more unique so I chose that option. Keep up the good work!!!
Cam says:

the 3D cards looks really nice
Phi says:

Is it possible for us to know which characters will be on the cards (or are they still be decided)? Personally, it really just depends on the characters and how they look. It's really awesome how you guys listen to the concerns of your fans! Thanks!
Belphegor86 says:

Definitely the 3D cards - at least there's something different about them. Normal cards aren't anything special - and when it's just the standard character profile picture they can get old pretty quickly.
adrian says:

i choose the 3D art cards but why not make a reversible art cover so we can choose to either have the jap limited edition cover or the original plus throw in a art book please i just love the art books.
Cam says:

Art book i want an Art book ):
[GL] Ross says:

Hi everyone. Thanks for voting. I might be wrong but it looks to me like some of you quite fancy having an artbook. I have mentioned this to my bosses and I should hopefully be able to give you more information soon.
Pepsi_Biofusion says:

Sorry for near spamming you're site here but I would love an art book too but of course that would extend the cost I'm assuming... boy I do not want to be the one deciding what does and does not go in for £40-65 (or whatever price is likely) personally the t-shirt is the selling point for me. Either way I hope the art book is included perhaps you should pull a GT5 i.e. have a limited with everything a fan could want at a price no one can afford... 'cept AGoW Zero won't be a questionably sub par game I'm sure.
Rozen says:

If its the item in question, then definately the 3D cards are certainly welcome. However if its just 3 characters out of what I beleive to be a large cast, I imagine somewhere like 15-ish then it just doesnt seem great. I want to see all or most of th characters, not just 3. I really HOPE you can GET THE ART-BOOK in. Also Please somehow INCLUDE these 2 illustrations in. Xbox360 jap cover: http://www.sosgamers.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Agarest-Senki-Zero.jpg PS3 Limited edition jap cover: http://www.hkofferhouse.com/images/cover/ps3/PS3 Agarest Senki Zero [Limited Edition] cover front.jpg For the sake of a cover, I completely understand that the normal edition PS3 cover would be best suited however somehow the last image I posted just has to make its way here, whether its the cover of an book like Aksys have done or just as a card, this simply must make it. Also Thank you so much Ghostlight for listening to us regarding us wanting an art-book, I sincerely hope you can make it happen. I`ll buy the limited edition FOR SURE!!!!
Tom says:

I'd go for artbook > 6 cards > 3 3d cards Since you mentioned it being like the 3ds: I tried the 3ds at a store several times and never got it beyond blurry unless I turned 3d off, so that's why I prefer the six cards above three, not due to sheer quantity. But a nice artbook would top both other options , imo. Really liking how feedback is received and acted upon by ghostlight!
Tao says:

We really appreciate your efforts Ross. Thank you!!! By the way do you guys plan to give AGOWZ its own Ghostlight website like you did with the first game? I really hope your special edition doesn`t exceed £39.99
Kevin says:

Your not wrong, we all want a 48 page artbook.
Phi says:

An artbook would be a definite buy for me! I am a complete sucker for artbooks! ...But please don't make it a softcover artbook if you decide on one.
tanuki says:

Hello I want an artbook too, and I am ok to pay a lot more for collector edition if they are great (ost+ artbook+ toys and more...)! For the actual choice, Let's go for 3D cards ;)
JC says:

I chose the option of the 3d cards. Also i share the view of the outspoken majority that an artbook would be an execellent addition, perhaps a poll on how much people would be willing to pay for a Collectors edition could help decide the feasability of adding one to the line up.
Oxidian says:

If you choose the artbook please print a different one from usa's one since there is people like me and others that will buy usa's and eur's limited versions.
Belphegor86 says:

Whilst an artbook would be nice, quality is of the essence. NISA holds examples of both "how to" and "how not to" do an artbook; namely ar tonelico 1 and Qoga for the former and Ar Tonelico 2 for the latter. I'd rather you guys save the time and the investment and put it into your next CE JRPG to ensure a good product than do a rush job on one for Argarest Zero. I'd like to thank all you guys for taking the time to listen to your fans like you do. Your doing a fantastic job and I really appreciate your bringing these great games over for us. Looking forward to Agarest CE whatever shape or form it comes in :D
EvaUnit02 says:

I'd take 6x traditional art cards over 3x lenticular ones, but a artbook would be even better. Thanks in advance.
[GL] Daren says:

Hi everyone, well the votes will be counted next week and currently there is a clear winner but you will just have to wait for the result. Also we are just waiting on Compile Heart to approve the artwork and then we will reveal the final selection of artwork for the art cards.
Phi says:

@ Daren; So does that mean that an artbook will not be a possibility? Not that I have anything against the art cards, but an artbook will just look better displayed.
Ailtin says:

Hey Daren, are you now referring to the Artworks for the cards, or for the option to publish a mini-artbook ? Both are fine by me, and pardon if I misunderstood something !
[GL] Daren says:

Hi, @phil No artbook on this occasion, sorry @Ailtin The artcards the images you can see in the CE spread have been updated. These will be reveled in the next day or two :)
