Agarest gets Steam Trading Cards

Hi everyone.

It’s been a very busy week here for us all at Ghostlight, particularly for our Number 1 Top Seller on Steam, Agarest.  Some of you may have already noticed, but yesterday we released a patch for the game which, amongst other things, fixes the Steam Achievements – “hooray” I hear you all cry! :)  To register your old achievements, simply start the game and unlock one of your old achievements and you should then see all of your other achievements unlock correctly.

Not only that, but as the title of this post suggests, Steam Trading cards will be coming to Agarest later today.  Sorry for the short notice but it has all happened very quickly.  Our artist, Jake, has been hard at work over the last week busily creating Trading Cards, Emoticons, Profile Backgrounds and Badges for you all.  There will be eight Trading Cards in all to collect and convert into badges, so why not fire up Agarest tonight and earn some Trading Cards while you’re unlocking your achievements?  :) To help you with that, remember to check out the new batch of Agarest DLC which is coming to Steam this evening.  More details of the latest DLC drop can be found here.  So if you’re having Jumbo Cock problems or struggling against another boss you might want to check this out.

While you’re here, I’d also like to remind you about the Ghostlight Autumn Sale, which features some fantastic savings on selected PS3, PS2 and PSP titles.  There are also some exclusive bundles featuring items that were previously only available in some Collector’s Editions.  You can see full details of the fantastic Ghostlight autumn Sale here.

Finally, I’m pleased to report that all pre-orders of Devil Survivor 2 made through the Ghostlight website have now been dispatched.  We’ve already been hearing from quite a few of you who have received your copies.  Once again, thank you so much for your support during this initiative.

Those of you who have not yet ordered a copy of Devil Survivor 2 will be pleased to know that the Gold Edition of Devil Survivor 2 is still available here, or as a double pack with Devil Survivor Overclocked here.  And don’t forget that Devil Survivor Overclocked is also available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop for £29.99.

I’ll be back next week, but until then why not follow us on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our  Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight? You can also follow me on Twitter for a more personal take on all things Ghostlight.

So...that error in trading cards is permanent or it will be corrected? :sad:

How about Arc Rise Fantasia on the Wii Ghostlight? It came out almost 4 years ago in America and is a half decent Wii RPG, it was licensed by a small publishing company in America, and it has an awful dub. You could probably just pick the game up and rip the dub out of it to save money. I don't think many people would care that one of the worse video game dubs ever made is gone from it if the Japanese audio is there. Its one of few Wii RPGs not released in Europe.

The steam cards are cool, but there is a mistake of sort: card 1 and 8 in the set are both Leonhardt

Is Devil Survivor 2 exclusive to the Ghostlight store? I live in Germany, so I hoped I could buy a copy on Amazon.

My Devil Survivor 2 shipped today, so hope it arrive before Saturday :)

Trading Card with Agarest? You really pushing for me buying Agarest Steam, but sadly not a sweet enough deal yet (specially with PS4  releasing)

Got my double pack in the post yesterday, started Overclocked and love it so far. Great price for two games like this.

@Mat We're looking into it.  More news on how it will be fixed when I get it.

@Matthew As a Wii release (which seems highly unlikely; Ghostlight has never done anything on Wii) or as a PC port?

Please look at the game anyway. If only on Youtube. Its decent and deserves a UK/EU release.

@Dark_Kain We're looking into it.  There are only supposed to be 8 cards.

@LOBO4000 Everything we've got is listed in the Store so if it's not there than I'm afraid not.

@David1337 at the moment it's only available through the Ghostlight Store so we can ship this title to Germany :)

@Moka They have been.  However as each order needs to be confirmed as shipped individually it can take a while for the order status to change.

@schrnkuk We're looking at a few for various consoles but nothing has been confirmed yet.

@JWiley_12 Well we did do Mary Kings Riding School, International Athletics and Dancing on Ice on Wii :)

I don't know but the game is worth someone picking up. I think as the game is a JRPG there will be demand there, especially as the Wii has a huge install base and has come to the end of its life. I don't think it would be hugely expensive for Ghostlight to pick up. The graphics are okay enough that it wouldn't look bad if ported to the PC either.

I rate this game.

@Ross Brierley

Elminage Gothic 'Remix' came out on the 3DS recently Ross. I don't think there's much of a demand there for you guys to pick it up though as you'd probably have to translate the game which would cost you money and time.

Upps...

Yes, it is there^^

Sorry, i only looked by "N.... M...."

Thank you again :)

I would be happy with whatever, and I agree with you. It's a shame that most half decent JRPGs that have been released in America but not here have been published by people unlikely to let them go cheap. If Namco Bandai were up for it, stuff like Xenosaga Eps 1-3, .hack//g.u and others would be amazing on the PC. You'd probably need deep pockets to get them from Namco Bandai.

@Matthew @JWiley_12 @Ross Brierley the biggest problem with a Wii release will probably be that Nintendo would require Ghostlight to at least print a few thousand copies of the game (similarly to the 3500ish copies for Devil Survivor 2), whereas a Steam release would not force them to take such a risk.

@JWiley_12 @Ross Brierley

I thought Nintendo blocked Project Zero 4s release in Europe? Which was odd as they released the second. Pretty sure they own the publishing rights. That being said I doubt it would stop someone from releasing here, they would probably just need to ask Nintendo first. But another problem is that these games sell poorly in general. If Vgchartz is to be believed Project Zero 2 sold like less than 10,000 copies in Europe on Wii lol

Where as Arc Rise Fantasia sold over 120,000 copies in America on Wii.

There's a scope there to make money. The games age will no doubt help Ghostlight at the negotiation table, as its 3-4 years old, but still looks and plays good graphically.

@Ross Brierley @JWiley_12 O_O how could I have missed those? :-)

So Ghostlight does have Wii experience... that opens perspectives! For Earth Seeker, Sangeki no Reginleiv, Fatal Frame 4, Toshinden, or (why not) Arc Rise Fantasia. ;-)
