Dear other publishers: this here is what people daydream about when they hear "deluxe edition" and "collector's edition". Seriously, for £65 that's insane and the regular collector's edition being the average retail price is amazing. Never change, you stars.

So excited!!!! OMG I WILL SO GET THE DELUXE EDITION!!!! I MUST get the Zero platinum trophy before beating this but how far am I from getting those 2 bloody trophies?!?!! I just finished the prologue of Fate/Extra and it really is cool, Caster is cute and Shinji can just die for all I care. Ross, I don`t know how to say this but... I got my copy of Fate/Extra yesterday and well....the collectors box was so sort of damaged, specifically it seemed as if someone sat on the left edge of the box which kind of ruined Castors image on the side, the bottom left corner(the bottom corner of the boxs lid) of the box is fairly distorted as if somebody had actually grabbed it and bent it, and the back of the box which shows Rin has a faint crumpled line across the box, At first I thought the artbook inside caused it but that can`t be the case, I have to guess something happened in the post. I really love this game, heck I was excited as hell but I cannot express my unhappiness of getting this beautiful box in such a condition. I ordered directly from this side for the 2 exclusive goodies which are amazing by the way but I.... I have to look at Castor crumpled up whenever I see my box and I really am kind of sad. I`m enjoying the game but having Castor as my servant keeps reminding me of my collectors box..

I have the Japanese version, now I want to buy the version of Askys or yours, which I liked better, I like yours, but I have 2 questions. The game is censored? mini-game or CG or something? And because you have placed the green square in the breasts of Iva? you can not put it down to the right or elsewhere ......................
...That deluxe edition is seriously awesome, a definite collectors piece if I ever I saw one. I found time today to pop Fate/Extra into my PSP and am loving it so far - something to make the morning commute to work on the train that bit easier :)

I'd like to ask a question for everyone's benefit here, since you're rather contradictory about it in the main article: Is the soundtrack CD included in the normal Collector's Edition, or does it only come with the Deluxe Edition?

Awesome..! Along with Fate/Extra, this will be really awesome to have in my collection! Can you give us more pics of the bag, if possible..? @Biggabertha It's just a representation of the final product (albeit one that should end up looking very similar to the final product) but I'll see what I can do for you.

@sakiu We send the game out using normal postage but if you have any issues with the delivery let us know and we'll sort something out for you.
@Keitaro004 At the moment there is not a limited number of the Deluxe edition. However at a TBA cut off point we will start manufacturing the deluxe edition. Beyond that point we will not be able to accept any more orders for it unless there are a significant number of enquiries.

@Kyle 000 Iva has not actually been censored on the glamshot. This is simply where Sony require us to position the USK ratings logo on blu-ray discs, ie it's a technical (and not selective) positioning of the logo and it's positioning over Iva is purely coincidental. (Obviously, if we had shifted the image of Iva upwards then Iva's face would not appear, and similarly if we lowered the image then Iva's face would be covered by the USK logo.) We have also had to make some minor changes to certain elements of the game in order to adhere to PEGI and USK guidelines. The game flow and vast story will not be compromised in any way
@rixi That does seem to be taking longer then I would expect but I'm not really an expert on these things. You best bet would be to email shop at ghostlight.uk.com and see what they say.

Do you know if the US version of the game will have the same censorships due to the ESRB ratings? (I have no intion to import either way, I prefer to buy PAL games in case of DLC, I'm just curious)

I love the level of interaction between Ghostlight and its customers. Although I'm in the US and really just waiting for info on DDS, the prompt and helpful responses to customer questions is refreshing. You see some companies do it, but not nearly enough. Great work.

@Tom I'm not really sure what's happening with the US version. It depends what the ERSB tell Aksys I guess. @Kyle 000 & @Arina I'll get more details and get back to you. However I know that the mini games are unchanged but you are unable to play them with Fiona as a child. Thanks for being so awesome Ghostlight :D Currently playing Fate/EXTRA (of course) and I have a question; do you go over the script at all you knot fix any grammar/spelling errors or to just localise it - e.g. recognize > recognise; color > colour?
I will take you by your word then Ross. And even if, I guess it wouldnt even scratch anything at all for me. I wont have the chance to play the mini-games anyway and since you promised that the game and story flow wont be injured or altered at all, I am a happy man :)
@Eru We generally stick to the US spelling that's already in the game. We do of course get any actual errors we find fixed in addition to any bugs that pop up in the conversion from the North American/Japanese build to the EU one.
@Kyle 000 & @Arina Hi. I've just checked for you and I can confirm that the only change to the minigames from the Japanese version is that you can't play them with the child version of Fiona. Oh yes and that the text is in English :). Plus we've removed a very small number of images from the game & gallery but that's all.

Guess the removal of the Fiona (Child) Mini Game and Image from games are to avoid AO (Not sure, what EU rating for that is) rating on Agarest War 2?

I can accept the Child Fiona mini-game being removed as that is a touchy-subject, in short I know cases in the past involving loli-ecchi both in US and EU, some manga have been dropped because of that content in the EU, Kodomo no Jikan manga was scheduled to be released in english several years ago but was immediatelly dropped due to its content, so fair enough but CG`s being cut from the gallery!!!!!! Can you please tell us in detail in whats being cut out of the game?
@ Sins, I have the Japanese version, I will ease things a bit, look: Fiona (Child) 3 Minigames Censored Fiona (Child) Censored 9 CG (Minigames) --- (Minimum) --- Fiona (Child) There will be censored CG history, or the secret CG?? Fiona (Child) will have the video or the videos censored? And I have everything unlocked from the Japanese version, but things may be missing And, more adelalante, you can choose to take Fiona (Adult) or Fiona (Child), I hope not touch it, otherwise they are erasing a playable character. I have really wanted to have it in English, but I'm stupid, because I'm buying, and many people also ........... censored a game, a half game, you should not buy one.
By the way, I forgot a very important question, because Fiona censored? The magic girl, generation 1, is a child. The fortune teller girl, generation 2, is a child. The warrior girl, generation 3, is a child. Fiona censored only because he does not marry the protagonist. That is not no good ......

@Kyle 000 Firstly I should be clear that Fiona will feature in all generations of the game itself as expected. It's only from the ‘minigames' that we're removing Fiona (1st Gen), and affection levels have been taken into account when making this change. Please understand that we are working under the advisement of USK and PEGI as without their approval we would simply not be able to release the game at all. @Sins In addition to removing Fiona (1st Gen) from the minigames, I believe we're only removing 4 other static images from the galleries, again due to USK and PEGI guidelines.
If the game is +18 not would have to censored. I understand the PEGI rules, but raising the age would not be a problem, the real problem is to get the game censored. Now I have told you, I have nothing more to say. Only I have to say one more thing: Congratulations for taking so cool version of Agarest War 2. Your Limited Edition and Deluxe Edition is the best. I just have to buy one of your versions, I hope not to delay the game, and exit on July 6. Ross sorry for the inconvenience, but you get my point of view, thanks for everything.

Hey this is great news i've actually just preordered the game myself. Looks great and the gifts your giving away with the game look amazing. Also GL i hope you have better luck with the DLC for Agarest 2 that really let me down on Agarest Zero when i really needed the help.
I own both the Agarest 1/zero and 2 artbooks so I have already been spoilt quite alot, including the bath/cleaning character designs in various outfits and more. Do you mind telling us what the 4 static images are exactly? As I said I know several cases in the past so I can understand perfectly what kind of situation this game is in, but I have to wonder is Kyle right? If the were made 18+ would we be able to avoid any or at least some of the planned censorship? I just sent my complaint regarding Fate to shop@ghostlight.uk.com, Besides that I am enjoying it so much, but my god this game is tough as hell, Casters lines certainly releive me of my stress for the enemies and servants that poison me and try to wipe me from existance!!! Ross can you tell what gets carried over in new game + and what doesn`t? I want to be prepared. Also I know its not even out in Japan but PLEASE HAVE GHOSTLIGHT RELEASE FATE/EXTRA CCC!!!!!! also the first Agarest Mariage trailer is out, you can check it on youtube everyone!! Apparently one of the generations protaginists in it is female. I have to say though I am so not used to seeing Katsuyuki`s designs being replaced by BLADE`s..... Does anyone besides me know who BLADE is? He did the art for the Magicians academy(or macademi wasshoi) novels and also did a character for the Queens Gate series. Anywho I typed too much. I hope we can make full effort to releasing this game uncensored, I intend to get the deluxe edition and I want my FULL MONEYS worth.
@Sins and Kyle000 Guys I think you're missing the point here, it's not just a matter of these images increasing the age rating, it's a matter of PEGI and USK allowing the game to be released at all!!! I'm sure we can all agree that if some very minor censorship is the difference between the game being released or not then it's definitely worth it. And besides even if the difference is only an increase in age rating to 18+, it is going to make pitching, what is already a niche game, to retailers even more difficult! Obviously the images being removed are those that are related to Fiona (1st Gen), which I agree with as the subject matter is definitely questionable.
@sins : 9 CG Censored (Gallery) + 4-9 CG Special Gallery, Total = 13-18 CG Censored ONLY MINIGAMES + CG Story ??? + CG Secret ??? I have the 1 Agarest and Agarest Zero is one of my favorite sagas, and it hurts a lot to censored the best game. @Ross: Agarest War 2 Age +18 = Uncensored can not be so?

Why is some risque child images so important?? I am looking forward to THE GAME not the images!!! Its like Belphegor said its minor and if they go in then it WILL NOT be released. This will in no way shape or form affect the game at all.
I'll chip in while I'm here. ;) Some of you guys have already hit the nail on the head: The guidelines and advisement we've taken from PEGI / USK tell us very clearly that the game will not get any rating *whatsoever* in its current form. It's not a question of us wanting to avoid one rating or another, but rather a question of staying within UK and EU law and not inappropriate content as defined by our ratings bodies - something we're obviously happy to do. Not a fun topic I know, but that's what has to happen. The changes are honestly exceedingly minor and make no difference to the storyline at all. Oh, and thanks Ross for covering all of this so well. ^_^ *high fives Ross across office*

@Sins & @Kyle 000 I really don't want to go too heavily into the subject of age ratings on this blog, but I can assure you that specifying the game as an 18+ isn't an option that's open to us as we do not rate games ourselves. Also, age ratings agencies and other similar governing bodies have the option of not rating a game if they deem the content unsuitable for release so obviously we need to follow their guidelines. As for Fate/EXTRA I'm glad you're enjoying it and from what I remember, you carry over money, equipment and knowledge of enemy attack patterns.
@Belphegor86 and @Barry Walsh, defend the games censored, and Europe will do best, increasingly censored games, congratulations gentlemen, not worth arguing over, but a game SO GOOD like this is a bitch to leave censored.

Kyle this will have nothing to do with future issues of censor in any game. If it affected the story or gameplay I would agree but its minimal, For years now I have wanted to play a lot of games that never got released in Europe and would hate if this bacame another over a few trivial issues. The game is not censored just some images are, Do you remember the uproar in the papers over Manhunt? Can you imagine if an overprotective parent or something saw their kid or teen playing a game with minors being seen in that light?? Its only a game but it would ripped to shreds.I will say if its a H thing (Not attacking just saying) there is a ton of it online so wih such minor changes I would imagine 905 of people will be happy. I`m a fan of Katsuyki`s work, from his novels to his doujinshi at comiket, If I`m going to get a game with his art in it I`d rather have his full works, however Kyle and my suggestion for an 18+ rating was stupid. I can understand the EU`s strict laws regarding this kind of content. Can I assume that all removed CGs are all based off Child Fiona`s mini-games? also as much as it pains me to know that there is an english uncensored agarest 2 out there, I want to support Ghostlight and I hope a counter-measure against loli-censorship of this level will be discovered for games like these. As for Fate/extra so if you were to pick the same servant as before in your new game + would they keep their level from your first game? I know its too soon to ask but at this point in time what are the chances of Ghostlight releasing Fate/Extra CCC and the Agarest Generations of War Mariage in the future, I imagine a minimum release date at this point would be next year, not to mention agarest 1 and zero released an updated 360 exclusive version later on so it maybe better to not release mariage until at some time passes after its jap release date since there maybe an updated version released at some point to avoid what happened to Ghostlights agarest 1. Unless of course there is a way to comfirm that there will be no updated version. Also I still havent gotten my Zero Platinum trophy yet, too much fun with Extra
To be fair the censoring the game doesnt bother me as much as what Atlus USA and Ghostlight did by removing the only purpose to the Climax Theatre in Persona 2 Innocent Sin, I'm not even sure if International players can still rank up at the cinema etc
@Rena. That's down to the ESRB; obviously they were okay with it. But PEGI/USK were not. As Al said above, they would not be able to release the game AT ALL in Europe had not those very few things been removed. It's not Ghostlight's fault. There is nothing they can do about it.
@Sins I understand how you feel. As for Fate/EXTRA no the servants levels do not get carried over in new game + even if you choose the same servant again.
@Sins Just noticed I missed a bit of your question. PSP games are a tough sell to retail at the moment but if the right deal for the right game comes along it's possible.
Ok so if the U.S. verison is not censored people can just order that one? If you said to me today you could play valkyria chronicles 3 with 99.5% of the game material there or a 100% version but you can't play it at all I know which one I would take. My guess is the U.S. and EU laws are not the same which is not the publishers fault.
I have a question about Fiona's affection levels and how they've been taken into account, will they be automatically added to the character when she arrives in the party? When she's an adult will the points be doubled for her? Or has it not been decided yet?
@Tom I'm not exactly sure how it's been done as I haven't really been involved with the discussions with Idea Factory.

I ordered the CE from GhostLight's online store and since I live in America I was glad that the US option was present on the shipping form, but after I ordered a friend told me that GhostLight only ships their items to Europe.

@kartonnedozen We don't have a PSN release date yet but it will come to PSN at some point.
will there be a xbox 360 release and just want to know if there was any of the previous games released for the xbox 360 in the uk?
@ka Sadly we can not release the XBOX 360 games over here as we are not a licensed 360 publisher over here. This is something we are working to change however even if we did we would be unable to release Agarest 2 on 360 as it was never released on 360 elsewhere.
