A new comments system: Your thoughts

Hi everyone. I hope you don’t mind me using this week’s blog to conduct a spot of housekeeping.

We’ve recently discovered that our commenting system will soon be taken down, so we need to replace it. I’ve been doing a bit of research myself, but seeing as you’re the ones who actually make the comments, I thought I’d ask what you think. After all, there’s not much point in having a comments system if no one makes use of it because it’s too awkward to use!

At this point I should mention that, while I have been doing a bit of research on this, I’m well outside my area of expertise, so if you have something to say but think it might be too basic, then worry not because I’ll probably find it helpful. :)

Disqus seems reasonably similar to our current system, although there are a few differences, so if you’re happy with the blog comment system as it currently exists then it seems like a good choice. But, if you don’t like Disqus, or you’re not happy with the commenting system as it currently exists, then now is a good time to let us know.
