A Brief Update on Agarest: Generations of War Zero
Hi Everyone,
I’m not actually here today as I’m off on holiday until Tuesday. However due to some blogging magic I’m still able to provide you with all the latest news from Ghostlight.
Sorry it’s taken so long to get back to you but I’m happy to say that the manufacturing issues with Agarest: Generations of War Zero have now been resolved. We are now expecting – assuming nothing else goes wrong *crosses fingers* – to receive stock on the 18thAugust which means that everyone who pre-ordered with us will receive the game on or shortly after the 19thAugust. I’d also like to once again thank all of you for your patience. You’ve all been awesome.
The other big news this week was the big announcement that I’ve been hinting about on My Twitter for a while now. If any of you managed to miss the news, we are going to be releasing Persona 2: Innocent Sin! You can read the full announcement here :).

Glad to hear that Ross, right now enjoying the first Agarest like mad (on the fifth generation, following closely the true end path)on my PS3 (if you remember last time I asked you about the Xbox360 version, fortunately I recently got a PS3, finally enjoying Agarest 8D) while waiting for Zero. I have a question if I may ask, I heared that you could import a completed save file from Agarest Wars to Zero, I was just wondring if the completed save file must be on the hard difficulty and what bonus, benefit do you exactly get? Im a big a fan of Agarest (even though I really don't like idea factory games, coz they have a high level of complexity and require alot of grinding) and wish that you guys could publish Agarest 2 coz it looks absolutely superb !!

yey! ... quick question why/how on Earth is AGoW Zeros limited 29.99 on Amazon??? seems odd to have it so low compared to here, but then again every limited I get from Amazon arrives damaged.
The sameday as Xenoblade Chronicles. I'll still grab Agarest but I guess I won't be playing it until December looking at the releases upcoming.
YAY!!!!! I`m going on HARD mode. This is going be so much fun!!! The wait will surely be worth it!!! Any word on Zero DLC. Also I just wanted to say that I`m very unhappy that Arcana Heart 3 has been delayed a 2nd time now. Otherwise You have made me VERY HAPPY!!!!!!
Hi everyone! As you know Ross is away so you have me for the next few days :( Still I will try and answer your questions. @SolBalmung yep just have the game save on your PS3 should work a treat. How can you not like IF *tsch* and Agarest 2 don't know at the moment. I am waiting on more information @Pepsi_biofusion Not much to say here. Why is the release date of Agarest War Zero on the german amazon on the 26th August? :(
i want to know that, too. Why is the release on amazon on the 26.th august? Something happened? And i thank you, Ghostlight for publishing Agarest Senki Zero. I love Agarest and i wish that Agarest Senki 2 comes here in Europe.

Shopto.com and amazon UK have dropped the date back to the 26th August aswell looks like it's been delayed a week. The same week as Deus Ex 3 is not the ideal date. :)
@Lots of people Some of you have noticed that the release date on the website is now the 26th. The official release date has been moved back a week. However we will still be sending out pre-orders when the stock arrives as planned :).

Hey I might be crazy but did the game been pushed back another week? I looked through my preorder list on shopto.net and it said it will be released in 10 days (same day as deus ex HR)

Thanks for the cool answer! I hope Agarest War Zero will do well in our countries. If you're ever going to release Agarest War 2, I'd love to buy that game too! : P You(the company) sure have a good taste for games. Even though the audience isn't that big here in Europe. You're brave, listen to your fans and you make our dreams come true Q_Q Ghostlight is so interesting and special. :)

Go bad surprise to see turns to delay Agarest. Indeed it is only for those who are in charge now or those who have charge over a month ago we also expect this week? regards
@JUAN We're disappointed about it too. However those who pre-ordered with us will still get sent the game when the stock arrives on the 18th August.
Ross quick question, you know how Ghostlight is brilliant and the like... right? would you ever consider releasing PSN Avatars based on titles you've released in Europe i.e. Agarest... surely you too know how awful the current selection is, no final fantasy, Sonic, Call of duty or any other would-be-popular avatars. I know its a shot-in-the-dark type question but I thought I'd give it a go, thanks in advance.

actually there are final fantasy avatars... I'm such an idiot... still you get my point... and I should make it clear I *inhales* "dislike" ... Call of duty somewhat.
Well my post has been today (19/8) and my copy of zero hasn't arrived, my order still says pending aswell which leads me to think that this game is not coming until next Friday and that Ross is telling some porky's. Theres been no update on here to say whether the stock is even at your depot or not and I'm feeling a little clueless. We are paying a higher price to get this game direct from you as most suppliers now have this game for £29.99.
Hi everyone just got this email from our suppliers at 14:14 today " Due to a communication problem between the forwarder and the driver, the goods as per delivery note nr. xxxxxxxx and xxxxxxxx cannot be delivered today since the driver is at the incorrect place at the moment." We're not very happy with this either but we have been assured that the game will be delivered to us Monday.
@Brookie Sorry we've been chasing this for the last two days and we kept getting told it was coming until just under an hour back when the following email came through. A couple of comments 1 We'd like to apologise for the delays. We're aware it's not really good enough. 2 We're all pretty angry about this ourselves.
These things happen and not really your fault, but how about for those of us who pre-ordered some free PSN Avatars or something thrown in I aint greedy but this would soothe me no end and would be pretty sweet ^^

@Voidwarlock Sadly no Agarest PSN Avatar exist and the Theme for Agarest (Aksys one) ain't that good, but JP one from Agarest Zero and Agarest War is awesome
Thanks for the reply Ross. I can see this isn't your fault and logistics can be a nightmare in any business. I was just disappointed to not be playing this today but thanks for your speedy response.
i read the message...sob...i hope that on monday i will see my game shipped =_= i don't want to be harsh...but we had to pay also at the purchase... i hope all will go well next week...go on with your good work :) at least your are taking some good games in Europe. How i would like to see some otome games ç_ç

Ok, so my post been today again (23/8). You received this game yesterday and my order is still listed as pending which leads me to believe this won't be here tomorrow either? Are we looking at Friday in actuality?
@Brookie We're just bagging up the last of the pre-orders and sending them out. The pending status may only change after they're all posted out.

@Kujo You should get an email eventually I believe. It might take a little longer than normal to arrive as we're trying to get all the pre-orders ready to go out before we confirm they have been sent

Is Agarest War Zero a localization of the updated version Dawn of War that had extra content etc, or just the original version released in Japan?
@[GL]Hope it will be here Friday, so i can start comparing it to US version :P, but else I just continue playing Agarest Senki 2 :P
Got my CE copy just now :) T-shirt is a tad bit big and im a well build dude. It gonna have to get pinned on the bedrrom wall. Im sure the mrs will have something to say about that though. Thanks again Ross for getting them out and delivered the next day.
@Everyone I can now confirm all the pre-orders were sent out yesterday so it's now in the Postman's hands. @Tom It's the Dawn of War version the same as in the US. @Rena Good luck.

Ha the art cards are like staring a 3ds. Gives me a headache :P I love that the soundtrack is actually in an old skool demo jewel case. Hate paper sleeves.

@ObviusFault All the orders have gone out and we'll soon be marking them all as sent. It needs to be done individually for each order so it takes a little while to go through them all.
How long will it take for an order from germany to be delivered?
@Sho I believe it takes 2-3 days for the mail to make it to germany.

Mine was waiting for me when I got home. Great job on the CE guys. The lenticular cards look great and loving the concept art on the poster. And thanks for not using the German rating logos on the front of the box - makes all the difference. Now to work out what build to use for my Sieg...
I see it still pending... are there no manner to track it right? =_= because every time i take something with royal mail i find the packages on the mail box without a call to my house(also if it's raining =_=) and now there are like 38/40° C in Italy ...i don't want that it comes ruined...
@Shatiel It was sent with Royal Mail and I don't think we do tracking. Sorry for any inconvenience that causes.
As I said on twitter its an awesome limited edition especially at 40 pound, its actually quite a lot of content even though the lack of an art book would have you believe otherwise. My only mild downer was the lack of representation of 2nd generation characters, I know you may be trying to avoid spoilers... but the in-game gallery is littered with them :P The t-shirt is so blooming brilliant though and the 3D art cards are cool, a lot more depth than I expected. Anyway, awesome limited, awesome game and awesome service so I'm one happy customer, now about Agarest 2... :P
I hope to get lucky and receive the shipping soon. As if by mail and not by agency I have lived in Spain I can be waiting 15 days time is later sent to me from England. And luck that I bring it home because you might not have to look to notice this post and will be returned to you again. On the other hand I still have the earring on my order I guess it's because we are doing one to one verification but the request has been sent greetings and hope to have it home soon.

@Rena- Agarest 2 looks brilliant, I loved Cross Edges battle system and to have that expanded into a game with likable characters, story and good artwork just sounds magnificent. I can't say I'm not jealous but its just one of many brilliant looking JRPGs not released in Europe, Tales of Graces f being particularly desirable, thankfully its been confirmed. PS- I too can't get over how cute Fiona is, and hope your enjoying Agarest 2 even without the install.
What exactly does upload clear data from Agarest Generations of War actually do?
Got my Copy today, so now I can play Agarest War 2 with the T-shirt on. Guess I will have a look on the edition this Monday. Guess DLC will be out this Wedensday.

Ok im happy to say that the game arrived today... (damn customs) anyway you guys should really sell some t-shirts and stuff like this cause the agarest one is awsome.
@ObviusFault Phew!!! Glad to hear it arrived. Yep, we like the t-shirt when our Designer came up with the idea and the print came out really well. However the merchandising of the T's is a little tricky licensing, agreements etc... Just be safe in the knowledge that there are only a few of these. A real collectors item :)
